I believe that in order to build a more equal market place, we need to support the pipeline that is feeding it. One of my passions is to support women owned businesses in developing Design Thinking skills to stay ahead of the market. To support this market, I design and host meetings that drive innovation.
WOMEN PRESIDENT ORGANIZATION
IBM Supply Chain Meeting
I worked with the WPO Platinum Chapter leader to understand the concerns of its members and build an agenda that would appeal to them. This included recruiting a General Manager to talk at the meeting, defining the content that would be most relevant, and hosting. My main focus here was to make sure this did not feel like a sales meeting. We generated conversation and ideation around the current concerns of the chapter members and brainstorms potential solutions. I am excited that out of this meeting will come a solution that we can build for the chapter members to use in the future.
FUTUREFORWARD
Technology Meeting
We gathered 20 women owned companies for a day of networking and learning. During this meeting we featured new technology, success stories, and ideation. Working with these businesses was a great way to connect and understand some of the industry challenges that they face. Working with them to help keep them on top of technology and sharp in the field was a fantastic way to give back.
